Same as many councils we engage in local as well as state and national activities. The state activities consist mainly of participation at the annual State Convention and collecting for the annual Mental Handicapped Drive each fall. Also, we participate in the annual Free Throw Contest.

National activities include participation in the Knight of the Month and Family of the Month programs.

Locally our major community activity is the assembly and dismantling of a nativity display for the Nativity Display Association which is exhibited during the month of December each year in conjunction with the Festival Of Lights in East Peoria.

We support various charities locally and in Africa by holding fish fries and pork chop fries. Our African support goes mainly to Father Larry Kanyike in Uganda.

Each January we have an evening called “Knights Night Out” which is for members only and is a chili supper, a chance to pay your dues and enjoy fellowship.

In February of each year we have a dinner dance which is open to family and friends of members. This an excellent opportunity for prospective members to get a feel the camaraderie within the Council.

We were invited to cook pork chop sandwiches at the annual East Peoria Boat Polar Bear Plunge in 2005. This will now be an annual event for us. The Polar Bear Plunge raises money for charity each and the Council feels privileged to help with this cause.
